Saily eSIM Review 2026

Quick Verdict

Saily is a Finnish eSIM provider that excels at one thing: simple, affordable European eSIM plans. With transparent pricing, a clean and easy-to-use app, and some of the cheapest per-GB rates for European travel, Saily is our top budget pick for European trips. It's not ideal for global travel — coverage outside Europe is limited and support is only available during business hours — but if your trip is centered around Europe, Saily offers excellent value for money.

Buy Saily if: you're traveling in Europe, you want the best per-GB value, or you prefer simple, no-nonsense pricing without upsells.

Skip Saily if: you're traveling globally outside Europe, you need 24/7 customer support, or you want PayPal as a payment option.

Who Is Saily For?

1. European Budget Travelers

If you're backpacking around Europe on a budget, Saily's low prices and transparent pricing make it one of the best value options available. Their European regional plans are consistently cheaper than Airalo, aloSIM, or Yesim for similar data amounts. You get more GB for your euro (or dollar).

2. Travelers Who Value Simplicity

Saily's approach is refreshingly simple: straightforward plans, clear pricing, no hidden fees, no upselling. The app is clean and easy to navigate — just find your destination, pick a plan, and buy. If you hate complicated pricing structures and fine print, you'll appreciate Saily's minimalist approach.

3. Short European City Breaks

For 3-10 day trips to one or several European cities, Saily's local and regional plans are perfectly sized and priced. You can get a 10 GB / 15 day plan for less than many competitors charge for half the data. Great for weekend getaways and short city breaks.

Who Should Skip Saily?

1. Global / Multi-Region Travelers

While Saily technically covers 150+ countries, their plan selection and pricing outside Europe are much less competitive. If you're traveling to Asia, the Americas, or Africa, you'll find better options with Airalo, Yesim, or SimOptions.

2. Travelers Needing 24/7 Support

Saily's customer support is only available during Finnish business hours, and there's no phone support or live chat 24/7. If you're traveling in a different time zone and run into a connectivity issue at 2 AM local time, you might be waiting a while for a response.

3. PayPal Preferrers

Saily doesn't support PayPal — you can only pay with credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. If you prefer using PayPal for travel purchases for the added buyer protection, you'll need to look elsewhere.

Saily at a Glance

Coverage & Network

Saily partners with local carriers to provide eSIM data service. Coverage is strongest in Europe, with more limited options in other regions.

Coverage by Region

Europe: Excellent coverage across all of Europe — from Portugal to Russia and from Norway to Greece. Regional Europe plans cover the EU, UK, Switzerland, Norway, and most other European countries. Network partners include Vodafone, Orange, Telefonica, Deutsche Telekom, and other major carriers. This is where Saily really shines.

North America: Basic US and Canada coverage available. Plans exist but are fewer and more expensive than European options. Not competitive with Airalo or aloSIM for North American travel.

Asia: Limited coverage of popular destinations like Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and Singapore. Plan selection is sparse and prices are higher than competitors like Yesim or Airalo.

Latin America, Africa, Middle East: Very limited coverage. You'll find plans for a handful of major tourist destinations but nothing comprehensive. Stick to providers with stronger regional coverage for these areas.

Network Quality Notes

• Europe: Good to excellent — 20-60 Mbps on 4G LTE in most major cities. 5G available in many Western European capitals.
• Other regions: Variable — depends heavily on the specific carrier partner. Generally decent in major cities but can be slow or unreliable elsewhere.
• Rural Europe: Generally good, as Saily partners with major national carriers that have solid rural coverage.

Pricing Plans

Saily keeps things simple with local and regional plans focused primarily on Europe.

European Local Plans (Single Country)

• Best for: Trips to one European country
• Price range: €3 - €40+ (~$3.25 - $43+)
• Example: France 10 GB / 15 days ~€14 (~$15); Spain 15 GB / 30 days ~€18 (~$19.50)
• Some of the cheapest per-GB rates in Europe

European Regional Plans

• Best for: Multi-country European trips
• Coverage: 30+ European countries
• Price range: €8 - €60+ (~$8.70 - $65+)
• Example: Europe 30 GB / 30 days ~€29 (~$31.50)
• Excellent value for multi-country European travel

Global Plans

• Best for: Multi-continent travel (limited)
• Coverage: Fewer countries than competitors' global plans
• Price range: $25 - $150+
• Not Saily's strong suit — better options exist for global travel

Price Comparison: Saily vs Competitors (Europe Focus)

Saily is consistently the cheapest or among the cheapest for European plans. For European travel, you'll almost always save money with Saily compared to the big-name brands.

Speed & Performance

We tested Saily primarily in Europe, with limited testing in other regions.

Average Download Speeds by Country

Key takeaway: Saily's European speeds are excellent — comparable to or even better than more expensive competitors in some countries. We were impressed by the consistent 4G speeds across all tested European destinations and the 5G performance in major cities. For European travel, Saily delivers great speed at low prices.

Pros & Cons Deep Dive

Pros

Best pricing for European eSIM plans

Saily consistently offers some of the lowest per-GB rates for European travel — often 20-40% cheaper than Airalo for similar data amounts. If you're traveling in Europe and price is a factor, Saily is almost always worth considering. The savings can be significant on longer trips or larger data plans.

Simple, transparent pricing with no hidden fees

Saily's pricing is refreshingly straightforward. What you see is what you pay — no surprise charges, no auto-renewal tricks, no fine print. Plans simply expire at the end of their validity period. If you hate complicated pricing structures and hidden fees, you'll love Saily's approach.

Clean, user-friendly Nordic design

Saily's app and website have a clean, minimalist Finnish design aesthetic that's easy on the eyes and simple to navigate. Everything is intuitive — finding plans, purchasing, and tracking usage is all straightforward. No cluttered interface or confusing menus.

Fast European network speeds

Despite the low prices, Saily's European speeds are excellent. In our testing across 7 European countries, Saily delivered 20-65 Mbps on 4G LTE — comparable to more expensive competitors. The low prices don't come at the cost of speed, at least in Europe.

Apple Pay and Google Pay for instant checkout

Saily supports Apple Pay and Google Pay, making the checkout process incredibly fast and secure. One tap and you're done — no need to type in credit card details. Perfect for last-minute purchases when you're about to board a flight or have just landed.

Cons

Limited coverage and value outside Europe

While Saily technically covers 150+ countries, their real strength is Europe. Outside of Europe, plan selection is limited, prices are higher, and the value proposition disappears. If you're traveling to Asia, the Americas, or Africa, you'll find better options elsewhere.

No 24/7 customer support

Saily's customer support is only available during Finnish business hours (roughly 9 AM - 5 PM EET, Monday-Friday). If you run into a problem on a weekend or at night, you'll have to wait for a response. For travelers in different time zones, this can be particularly frustrating.

No PayPal payment option

Saily only supports credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay — there's no PayPal option. Many travelers prefer PayPal for international purchases because of the buyer protection and the ability to dispute charges. If PayPal is your preferred payment method, you'll need to look elsewhere.

Fewer total plans than competitors

With around 250+ plans, Saily has significantly fewer options than market leaders like Airalo (500+ plans) or Yesim (400+ plans). This means less flexibility in terms of exact data amounts and durations. You might not find the perfect data/duration combo for your trip.

No Chinese language support

Saily's app and customer support are English-only (and possibly Finnish). If you prefer service in Chinese or another language, you'll want to choose a provider like Airalo or Yesim that offers multilingual support.

How Does It Compare?

Saily vs Airalo

Choose Saily if you're traveling in Europe and want the lowest possible prices. Choose Airalo if you want wider global coverage, a more feature-rich app, and better support options.

Saily vs aloSIM

Choose Saily if you want the cheapest European plans and a native app. Choose aloSIM if you want 24/7 live chat support, a free Hushed phone number, and a 100% money-back guarantee.

Saily vs Yesim

Choose Saily if you want the absolute lowest European prices and a clean, simple app. Choose Yesim if you want broader global coverage, Chinese language support, and PayPal payment options.

Customer Support & Refunds

Refund Policy

Saily's refund policy is described as "refund per order page and terms of service," which is vague. The exact terms depend on the specific plan and whether it's been activated. Generally, unused, uninstalled eSIMs may be eligible for refund, but you'll need to check the specific terms for your plan.

Our verdict on refunds: Saily's refund policy is not clearly communicated and appears to be stricter than competitors like aloSIM or Maya Mobile. Make sure you're confident in your plan choice before purchasing, because getting a refund might not be straightforward.

Customer Support

• Channels: Live chat (website/app — business hours only), email
• Response time: A few hours during business hours; 24-48+ hours on weekends/outside hours
• Languages supported: English, Finnish
• Quality: Decent during business hours, but limited availability

Common support issues:

1. Installation and activation questions

2. Refund inquiries

3. Plan selection help

4. Usage tracking questions

Final Verdict

Overall rating: 3.8 / 5 stars

Saily is the best budget eSIM provider for European travel in 2026. It doesn't have the widest coverage, the most features, or the best customer support, but it does one thing exceptionally well: cheap, fast, reliable European eSIM plans with transparent pricing.

For European travelers on a budget, Saily's combination of:

• The lowest per-GB rates in Europe
• Fast, reliable network speeds across the continent
• A clean, simple app with no bloat
• Transparent pricing with no hidden fees

...makes it an easy recommendation. Just don't expect world-class support or global coverage.

Our recommendation: If you're traveling in Europe and want the best value for money, get Saily. It's the cheapest option that still delivers good speeds and a decent app experience. For travel outside Europe or if you need 24/7 support, go with Airalo or aloSIM instead.

Alternatives

Airalo — Best for Global Coverage

If you're traveling outside Europe or want more comprehensive coverage and features, Airalo is the industry leader. More countries, more plans, better app, and more support options — just at a higher price point.

aloSIM — Best for Support & Free Number

If you want 24/7 live chat support and a free Hushed phone number with your plan, aloSIM is a great European option. Slightly more expensive than Saily but with better support and extra features.

Yesim — Best for Regional + Chinese Support

If you want broader global coverage, Chinese language support, and PayPal payment options, Yesim is a strong alternative. Prices are comparable to Saily in Europe but Yesim covers more destinations.
